Roll-Up Sheet Doors

Sheet doors are the workhorse of self-storage, shops, and light industrial buildings. We install them, keep them rolling, and replace them when they're done.

Roll-Up Sheet Doors in Sacramento & Northern California

A roll-up sheet door is a single corrugated steel curtain wound on a spring-loaded drum. It's light, economical, and it runs thousands of cycles — until a spring fatigues, the curtain gets bent at the bottom bar by a truck or a cart, or the guides fill with debris and the door starts to bind. When that happens the door gets heavy, crooked, or won't stay up, and the unit behind it is out of business.

Guardian Door LLC installs, repairs, and replaces commercial roll-up sheet doors across Sacramento and Northern California for self-storage facilities, contractor yards, auto shops, agricultural buildings, and light industrial tenants. We service curtains, guides, tension springs, drums, bottom bars, latches and locks, weather seals, chain hoists, and motor operators, and we replace whole doors when the curtain is too far gone to straighten.

How Roll-Up Sheet Doors Works

What to expect from the first call through the finished opening.

  1. 1

    Door inspection

We check spring tension, curtain condition, guide alignment, bottom bar, and the hoist or operator before the door is moved.

  2. 2

    Repair or replace pricing

You get a written price for the repair and, when the curtain is damaged beyond straightening, a price for a new door of the same size and gauge.

  3. 3

    Repair work

Springs are re-tensioned or replaced, guides straightened or swapped, bottom bars and seals replaced, and latches and locks restored.

  4. 4

    New door installation

Replacement sheet doors are set on the existing jambs or new guides, tensioned, and fitted with the hoist or operator you need.

  5. 5

    Cycle and balance check

The door is cycled through full travel, balanced so it stays where it's put, and the seals checked for a tight closure.
