Hollow Metal Doors & Frames

Hollow metal doors do the unglamorous work in a commercial building — back-of-house, stairwells, mechanical rooms, corridors, exterior service entries — and many of those openings carry a fire rating. A rated opening only performs as a system: the door, the frame, the hinges, the closer, the latch, the label, and the gap dimensions all have to be right. Swap in an unrated door, drill the wrong hole, or leave a closer off, and the assembly no longer meets code even though the door still swings.

We prep for and install the full hardware set — hinges and continuous hinges, closers, exit devices, locksets, thresholds, coordinators, and gasketing — and set rated openings so they self-close and positively latch the way the label requires.
